Poland's budget deficit reached PLN 10.4 bln (EUR 2.42 bln) in 2018, a mere 25 percent of the planned PLN 41.5 bln (EUR 9.66 bln), Finance Minister Teresa Czerwińska told Polish public broadcaster Radio One on Thursday.

"As regards the state budget's implementation, we have estimated the exact result, which in cumulative terms amounts to PLN 10.4 bln after December. It's a mere 25 percent of the budget deficit that was planned for 2018," Czerwińska stressed.

On Tuesday, the finance minister said that data as of February 4 indicated a PLN 10.3 bln (EUR 2.40 bln) deficit. (PAP)
