Poland expects a further increase in daily coronavirus infections and there may be up to 15,000 new cases reported this Saturday, Health Minister Adam Niedzielski told a Thursday press conference.

He also said that no special decision was needed to impose the highest level of coronavirus red zone restrictions nationwide.

"According to the monitoring conducted, we have a continuous increase in number of red zones and some 317 counties out of 380 qualify for the status (...). Therefore, it is natural to extend the red zone to the entire country," Niedzielski said. (PAP)
