The time between the administration of the first and the second dose of the Astra Zeneca Covid-19 vaccine is to be extended to 12 weeks, a government official said on Thursday.

The head of the PM's Office, Michal Dworczyk, said that the second dose of Pfizer vaccines will be administered 42 days after the first dose.

The change will come into force as of next week, Dworczyk said.

The official also said that convalescent Covid-19 patients are to be vaccinated six months after infection, with a single dose recommended.

More to come... (PAP)
