Poland enjoys record growth thanks to hard work of Poles, Tusk says
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk praised "hard-working" Poles on Labour Day saying that they contributed to Poland's economic success.
"Today I would like to thank all the hard-working Polish women and men with all my heart. This is your celebration," he wrote on the X platform on Thursday, May 1.
"And thanks to you we have a breakthrough year," Tusk added.
Dziękuję dzisiaj z całego serca wszystkim ciężko pracującym Polkom i Polakom. To Wasze święto. I to dzięki Wam mamy rok przełomu. Według najnowszych danych Ameryka walczy z widmem recesji, Niemcy i Francja cieszą się z wyników w pobliżu zera, a my idziemy po rekordy wzrostu!

"According to the latest data, America is fighting the spectre of recession, Germany and France are enjoying results close to zero, and we are going for record growth!" he wrote further.
Since 1890, May 1 has been celebrated as International Workers' Solidarity Day in memory of the brutal police suppression of the workers' strike in Chicago in 1886. (PAP)
