Seven arrested after bodies found in Warsaw tenement
The Warsaw prosecutor's office said on Tuesday that seven people have now been detained after the discovery of four bodies in an abandoned tenement house on Grzybowska Street in the capital's western district of Wola.
Prosecutor Szymon Banna, spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, said that a team of prosecutors, supervising the work of officers from Warsaw's District Police Headquarters IV, the Department for Combatting Criminal Terror and Homicides, and the Forensic Laboratory of the Military Police, had inspected the crime scene.
Two bodies were discovered on Sunday, and a further two on Monday.
"Evidence and items recovered at the scene indicate that third parties contributed to the deaths. The bodies of the deceased men have been taken to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for autopsies. Procedures are underway to determine the circumstances of their death," the prosecutor added.
Seven suspects have been detained.
Military Police officers have also assisted in the investigation by carrying out GPR (ground-penetrating radar) scans. (PAP)
