Electric, hybrid cars make up almost 60 pct of new registrations in Poland
Electric and hybrid vehicles accounted for nearly 60 percent of new passenger car registrations in Poland in the first three quarters of 2025, according to a report by the Polish Automotive Industry Association (PZPM) and KPMG consulting company.
Electric car registrations more than doubled to 26,000, while total electric and hybrid registrations rose 19.1 per cent year on year.
Experts said the shift poses a challenge for the automotive parts sector, as electric vehicles require fewer components, suggesting a move towards parts suitable for both vehicle types.
From January to September, 428,000 passenger cars were registered, up 7.3 percent, with institutional buyers accounting for 292,000 and individual buyers 136,000. Two-wheeler and commercial vehicle registrations also increased, while car production fell 29 percent to 312,000 units.
