Poland's FinMin to visit Kyiv ahead of Ukraine recovery conference
Polish Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domanski will accompany Prime Minister Donald Tusk on his visit to Kyiv this week to discuss preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference to be hosted by Poland this year, Tusk has said.
On Monday, Tusk announced he would visit the Ukrainian capital in the coming days at the invitation of Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Talking to reporters on Tuesday, he said Domanski would travel with him.
"It's no coincidence that I'll be accompanied on this visit by Andrzej Domanski, Minister of Finance and Economy. He and his team are preparing a global conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine," Tusk told a press briefing ahead of the government meeting.
He added that the conference would be held in the northern coastal city of Gdansk in June.
"We'll discuss this and the organisational details with our Ukrainian hosts," Tusk said.
Poland is set to host the next major Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2026), marking a significant commitment to Ukraine's reconstruction and EU integration. Following the 2025 conference in Rome, this event will focus on key areas including business, human capital, local reforms, and security. (PAP)
