Poland's GDP sees growth of 4.6 pct y/y in 2017- stats office
The Polish economy grew an estimated 4.6 percent year-on-year in 2017, according to preliminary data published by the Central Statistical Office (GUS) on Tuesday.
In 2016, Poland's economy grew by 2.9 percent.
Domestic demand grew by 4.7 percent, against 2.2 percent in 2016.
Investments in 2017 increased by 5.4 percent compared to a 7.9 percent decline a year earlier.
Individual consumption grew by 4.8 percent year-on-year, against 3.9 percent in 2016.
Economists polled by PAP had expected Poland's economy to have grown by 4.4 percent in the whole of 2017 with domestic demand growing by 4.4 percent and investments rising by 3.6 percent against the 2016 figures. (PAP)
