All Europe's biggest airlines in Krakow
All Europe's biggest traditional airlines will operate to and from Poland's southern city of Krakow this year.
In coming months Lufthansa and British Airways will be joined by Air France and Iberia.
Air France will service the Krakow Balice-Paris Charles de Gaulle connection and Iberia will operate a Krakow-Madrid route. Scandinavian SAS will fly to and from Copenhagen and Greek Aegean Airlines will service a Krakow-Athens route in summer.
Lufthansa has been one of the most important air carriers operating from Krakow Airport for years. British Airways, the Dutch KLM carrier and Swiss International returned to Krakow last year. Alitalia, Austrian and Finnair also operate to and from Krakow's Balice airport.
Europe's biggest low fare carriers, including Ryanair, easyJet, AirBerlin and Norwegian, also service flights to and from Krakow.
Poland's biggest regional airport, Krakow Balice handled a record of 4.2 million passengers in 2015, up by 11.0 percent year-on-year. Forecasts for 2016 speak about 4.5 million passengers. When the second terminal is completed, the Krakow airport's capacity will grow to 8 million passengers. (PAP)
