Existing satellite production infrastructure will be expanded to include premises at PZL Warszawa Okecie belonging to Airbus Defence and Space and the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ). The project will be worth EUR 1 million; further expansion is also planned.

Initially the new premises will be used for the production of electric wire bundles connecting electronic components of satellites. In future the Okecie facility will be able to assemble the most advanced components for satellites and booster rockets as well as small satellites.

Besides offices and other rooms, the new building will include ISO class 7 clean rooms with strict monitoring of temperature, humidity and maximum number of particles in the air.

Airbus Defence and Space is a division of the Airbus Group that has been investing in the space sector in Poland for 10 years. PZL Warszawa Okecie has been owned by Airbus since 2001. (PAP)
