The Operational Command of the Polish armed forces reported on the X platform that "on March 24, at 4:23am, there was a violation of the Polish airspace by one of the cruise missiles launched overnight by long-range aviation of the Russian Federation." It stayed there for 39 seconds.

The Operational Command added that the cruise missiles launched by the Russian Federation targeted towns located in western Ukraine.

"Poland would demand an explanation from the Russian federation over another violation of the Polish airspace," Pawel Wronski said in a statement on Sunday.

Wronski added that Poland had been calling on Russia "to stop terrorist air attacks on the inhabitants and territory of Ukraine, to end the war and focus on the country's internal problems."

The spokesman also expressed sympathy to the victims of the Russian bombardments and their families.

"Poland condemns all forms of terrorism and all attempts aimed at a revision of borders with the use of force," the spokesman wrote.

The Russian missile went about 1,000-2,000 metres into the Polish airspace near the town of Oserdow, Lubelskie province, eastern part of the country, early on Sunday. It was constantly monitored by the Polish military radar systems. (PAP)
