Kosiniak-Kamysz told a press conference on Wednesday that Poland had completed negotiations with the South Korean manufacturer of the K2 Black Panther tanks and would soon sign a contract for their delivery.

He said that along with the tanks, the Polish Armed Forces would receive a complete support package including 80 accompanying vehicles without which the tanks could not be used effectively.

His deputy, Pawel Bejda, also announced that this year, South Korea would complete the delivery of the 180 K2 tanks contracted in 2022. The first 30 machines covered under the planned 2025 contract would arrive in Poland in 2026. (PAP)
