Poland's Swiatek wins third consecutive Doha title

World number one female tennis player, Iga Swiatek, won the third WTA title in a row in Doha, Qatar, after beating Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan.

Swiatek beat Rybakina 7-6(8), 6-2 in the WTA finals on Saturday.

It is the Polish tennis player's first singles title this year and 18th in her career.

Swiatek also won the WTA tournaments in Doha in 2023 and 2022.

She is the first woman tennis player since 2015 to enjoy three consecutive wins in the same tournament. (PAP)
