Two Poles die in off-road vehicle accident on Moroccan dunes
Two Polish tourists died after an off-road vehicle carrying them overturned in the middle of dunes in Morocco, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed.
MFA spokesman Maciej Wewior told PAP on Monday that "everything indicates that it was an accident involving an off-road vehicle on the dunes."
According to local media, the accident happened on Friday, when the Moroccan driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn. The two Polish women died in the accident, while the driver and another Moroccan national that accompanied the tourists were taken to hospital in a serious condition.
Wewior added that the Polish consul in Morocco was informed about the accident on Saturday and is in contact with the victims' families. (PAP)
