Foreign workers in Poland approach 2 million in June
The number of foreign workforce in Poland stood at around 1.9 million in June, marking a 6.5-percent annual increase, the country's statistical office GUS has reported.
The body reported on Tuesday that as of late June, foreigners accounted for 6.6 percent of all Poland-based employees, with Ukrainians being the largest group of foreign workers.
As of June, employers in Poland saw about 735,100 Ukrainian nationals in their workforce, a 3-percent rise compared with May 2025 and a 5.2-percent uptick compared to the same month in 2024.
Mandate contracts and similar forms of employment gained momentum among foreign workers in late June compared with previous months. According to GUS, more than 422,000 foreign citizens in Poland were employed under civil law or comparable contracts, up 4.2 percent from May and 7.1 percent from June 2024. (PAP)
