Polish PM, FinMin hail economic growth acceleration
Poland's economy is accelerating, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domanski have said commenting on the country's GDP growth data for last year.
Poland's statistical office GUS said in a preliminary estimate on Friday morning that the Polish economy grew by 3.6 percent year on year in 2025, against a 3.0 percent growth in 2024.
"We will truly overtake them! Economic growth for the entire 2025: France 0.9, Germany 0.3, Poland 3.6! And the Year of Acceleration is ahead of us," Tusk wrote on X following the data release.
Domanski also took to X to comment on Poland's GDP growth last year saying that the Polish economy is "on the rise."
"We will close 2025 with GDP growth of 3.6 percent, significantly higher than previous years. The economic growth path has been confirmed. Investments are growing. 2026 will be a year of acceleration," he wrote.
Poland's 2026 budget projects a GDP growth of 3.5 percent, supported by strong EU-funded investments and increased consumption. (PAP)
