Polish, US presidents hold phone conversation
Karol Nawrocki and Donald Trump, the Polish and American presidents, have discussed transatlantic relations and regional security in the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the Polish President's Office has reported.
"Polish President Karol Nawrocki and US President Donald Trump held another telephone conversation today," the Polish President's Office wrote on the X platform on Friday, adding that, at the beginning of their talk, the two heads of state had exchanged Christmas greetings.
According to the Polish President's Office, apart from discussing transatlantic relations and regional security, the two presidents also addressed the ongoing peace negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.
"Other subjects included Poland's participation in G20 work, Polish-US economic cooperation and energy issues," the Polish President's Office wrote, adding that the conversation had been held in "a warm and sincere atmosphere." (PAP)
