Zelensky seeks to visit Warsaw by end-year
Ukraine proposed that President Volodymyr Zelensky visit Warsaw to meet his counterpart, Karol Nawrocki, by the end of this year, Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland has reported.
Vasyl Bodnar told the RMF FM radio on Friday that Kyiv is working to ensure the meeting takes place as soon as possible.
"We would like it to be held this year, and we are working on the content of such a visit," he said, adding that a proposed date was sent to the Polish presidential palace this week.
Among the possible topics of discussion, Bodnar listed security issues, defence cooperation, and historical policy concerning the exhumation of Polish war victims in Ukraine.
Earlier this week, Nawrocki's presidential aide, Marcin Przydacz, announced that if the president were to see Zelensky, it should be in Poland. (PAP)
