"We want Polish companies to know the opportunities provided by artificial intelligence, but also to use them effectively," Michal Jaros told journalists after signing the agreement on Friday.

"Intel is contributing unique experience, global resources and world-class experts to this collaboration," he said about Intel's involvement in the programme dubbed 'AI for Industry.'

Jaros said that domestic and European digital hubs targeted by the initiative would become local AI competence centres to be used by enterprises expanding AI capabilities and their applications, for example, through 'AI Sandbox,' a safe environment for companies to research and test their AI solutions before their roll-out to the market.

"Businesses will obtain access to selected AI tools and technologies, expert support... to test the effectiveness of technology in real-life conditions," Jaros said, adding that together with Intel, the ministry aimed to create conditions for Polish enterprises to effectively compete with the use of AI.
