June unemployment at 5.8 percent - stats office

Poland's unemployment rate stood at 5.8 percent in June 2026, down from 5.9 percent in the previous month, Statistics Poland (GUS) reported on Thursday.

The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy previously estimated that the jobless rate in June would stand at 5.8 percent.

The number of registered unemployed reached 901,500 in June, compared to 915,900 in May, GUS also said.

The number of newly registered out-of-work individuals stood at 83,800 in June against 81,600 in the previous month. (PAP)
