In a post on X on Monday, Grodecki wrote that "the security of NATO's eastern flank today requires strategic decisions and close cooperation among allies."

According to Grodecki, the NATO 3.0 concept envisages European allies assuming a much greater share of responsibility for their own defence, while the United States would continue to provide key capabilities, including the nuclear umbrella. The talks also covered the further strengthening of the US military presence in Poland.

Grodecki said Poland is taking responsibility for regional security and is actively contributing to the development of the Alliance's eastern flank defence capabilities.

The NATO summit is scheduled to take place in Ankara on July 7-8. (PAP)
