Iranian drones and missiles targeted Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday. At least one person was killed and at least 63 were injured in the attack.

"Poland strongly condemns the Iranian attack on the airport in Kuwait. We extend our deepest condolences to the victim's family and loved ones. Military actions against civilian targets while peace negotiations are underway deserve unequivocal condemnation," the MFA wrote on X in English on Thursday.

"We call on the parties to refrain from hostilities and to continue talks aimed at reaching a diplomatic agreement to end the conflict. The safety of air and maritime transport is in the interest of all members of the international community who strive to build relations in accordance with the spirit and letter of the United Nations Charter," the ministry added.

Following the attack, Kuwait's foreign ministry expelled two Iranian diplomats. (PAP)
