Kenyan wins Orlen Warsaw Marathon

Ezekiel Omullo of Kenya won the Orlen Warsaw Marathon on Sunday, finishing the 42.2-kilometre run in 2 hours, 11 minutes and 17 seconds.

Ethiopian national Yared Sheguno won his second Poland champion title in 2 hours, 13 minutes and 53 seconds, and placed sixth in overall rankings.

Felix Kimutai of Kenya placed second (2 hours, 11 minutes and 41 seconds), ahead of Herpasa Negasa Kitesa of Ethiopia (2 hours, 11 minutes and 46 seconds).

Nastassia Ivanova of Belarus won the women's race in 2 hours, 28 minutes and 3 seconds. Azmera Abreha of Ethiopia placed second (2 hours, 28 minutes and 7 seconds) ahead of Izabela Trzaskalska of Poland (2 hours, 32 minutes and 26 seconds). (PAP)
