Colonel Marek Gmurski, commander of the Drawsko Training Centre said the exercise will continue until September. It will be attended by some 200 US army engineers as well as partners from Great Britain and Poland.

Gmurski said that the main goal of the exercise is to increase Drawsko centre's training possibilities. He added that for years, the Drawsko military range has been one of the most important training centres of Polish as well as of allied forces.

As part of the training, army engineers are to build infrastructure for future training operations in Drawsko, including a moving target system with a range of 350 metres.

Since 1996, the Drawsko military range has hosted military training for US, British, German, Danish, Dutch, Belgium and Italian military units. (PAP)
