February unemployment flat at 5.5 percent - stats office

Poland's unemployment rate remained unchanged month on month in February 2023 at 5.5 percent, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported on Thursday.

Economists polled by PAP expected a 5.5 percent unemployment figure in the second month of 2023.

The number of registered unemployed measured 864,800 in February against 857,600 in January, GUS also said.

Earlier, the Family and Social Policy Ministry estimated February's unemployment at 5.5 percent as well. (PAP)
