Student Academy Award for Polish filmmakers
Two Polish female filmmakers have received a bronze Student Academy Award for their film Tenants (Lokatorki) shot at Poland's renowned National Film School in Lodz.
According to the American Film Academy which awards the prize, Tenants ranked among the three best foreign-language film etudes.
The award for Tenants is the first such distinction won by the Lodz film school.
A gold award went to Invention of Trust by Alex Schaad from the University of Television and Film in Munich, Germany, and silver to Where the Woods End by Felix Ahrens from the Film University Babelsberg Konrad Wolf, also in Germany.
The Student Academy Award was founded in 1972. (PAP)
