Poland's Radwanska loses WTA Indian Wells semi-final
Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska lost to Serena Williams 4-6, 6-7 (1-7) in the semi-final of the 2016 WTA Premier tennis tournament in Indian Wells, United States, on Friday.

No. 3 seed Radwanska lost to No. 1 Williams after a match that lasted one hour and 35 minutes.
Radwanska reached the semi-final in Indian Wells for the third time in her career. Despite losing to Williams on Friday, she returns to World Number 2 in the WTA Ranking after nearly four years.
Earlier the Polish tennis star beat Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, Romania's Monica Niculescu 6-2, 6-1, Serbia's Jelena Jankovic 6-3, 6-3 and the Czech Republic’s Petra Kvitova 6-2, 7-6. (PAP)
