Poland's Radwanska enters WTA Indian Wells semifinals

Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska beat Petra Kvitova 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) and entered 2016 Premier tennis tournament semifinals in Indian Wells, the U.S., with prize money at USD 6.135 million.

No. 3 seed Radwanska beat No. 8 seed Czech player Kvitova after a match that lasted one hour and 36 minutes.

Radwanska has reached the semifinal in Indian Wels for the third time in her career. Thanks to this win Radwanska will return to World Number 2 in the WTA Ranking after nearly four years.

Radwanska will face either Serena Williams or Simona Halep in the semifinals.

Earlier the Polish tennis star beat Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, Romania's Monica Niculescu 6-2, 6-1 and Serbia's Jelena Jankovic 6-3, 6-3 (PAP)
