IT giant opens office in Szczecin

Wincor Nixdorf, a global IT company, plans to open a branch in Szczecin (west Poland) that will be part of its international customer service centre, the Szczecin city office has announced.

The Szczecin branch will be the company's second in Poland, after Warsaw, and fifth in the world (the others are in Mexico, Malaysia and Venezuela).

Target employment at the Szczecin branch is planned at 300 people, most of whom will be technical support staff who know foreign languages, mainly German.

Wincor Nixdorf, founded over 60 years ago and present in Poland for 25 years, provides technological solutions and services to sectors that include banking, retail, logistics and warehousing, hotels and catering, petrol stations, postal services and passenger transport. (PAP)
