Polish prime minister visits United States
Prime Minister Beata Szydlo on Thursday begins a visit to the United States during which she will take part in the signing of the Paris climate accord in the United Nations building.
"The prime minister's visit is above all an economic visit. During the coming days, until Saturday, the PM will meet with Polish-Americans and U.S. investors. The signing of the Paris Agreement will also take place", government spokesman Rafal Bochenek has told PAP.
On Thursday the Polish PM will honour the victims of 9/11 World Trade Center attack, visit the New York Stock Exchange, take part in a Polish-U.S. business forum at the Polish consulate and meet with Polish-American media.
On Friday Szydlo will take part in the signing of the Paris climate deal at the U.N. headquarters.
The prime minister's Saturday itinerary includes a visit to Doylestown, Pennsylvania, where she will meet with the Polish-American community.
During the U.S. visit Szydlo will be accompanied by Environment Minister Jan Szyszko. (PAP)
