Ogólnopolski Strajk Kobiet, 23 bm. przed Sejmem w Warszawie. Wśród nich znalazły się m.in. żądanie ścigania seksistowskich wypowiedzi, krajowego programu wsparcia in vitro i świeckiego państwa. Zaplanowane na 23 i 24 bm. protesty nazwano Ogólnopolskim II Strajkiem Kobiet. PAP/Jakub Kamiński
Brandishing placards reading, among other things, "deal with paedophiles not women's bellies", "equality, dignity, respect for our mothers, sisters and daughters", and "we are free not free and easy", the protesters demanded sex education and the right to decide about their bodies.
The strikers also gathered signatures under a petition to the government and parliament demanding full access to birth control.
"Democracy without women is semi-democracy and we are experiencing this today, when our right to decide, when that which we are due as rational beings, is being taken away", one of the strike organisers said.
The strike, a follow-up to an October 3 "black protest" against government plans to tighten abortion laws, is to be continued on Monday. (PAP) mb/
