Mabuchi Motor invests in Krakow

Japan's Mabuchi Motor auto component manufacturer will build a PLN 360 million electric motor plant in south Poland's Krakow Special Economic Zone. By 2023 the factory is to employ 400.

The plant, Mabuchi's first in Europe, is to launch production in the winter of 2019, by 2023 it is to turn out around 16 million electric motors annually.

According to zone officials, the Mabuchi project is the biggest in the zone since 2007.

The Krakow Special Economic Zone opened in 1997 and currently covers close to 867 hectares. (PAP)
