Julia Przylebska appointed new Constitutional Tribunal chair in Poland
Polish President Andrzej Duda on Wednesday appointed Julia Przylebska the new chairperson of the country's Constitutional Tribunal.

Judges Julia Przylebska and Mariusz Muszynski were the two candidates recently nominated by the court's General Assembly for the post.
Earlier, the president named Przylebska acting head of the tribunal.
The nine-year term of Judge Andrzej Rzeplinski, who also served as the tribunal's chair since 2010, ended on Monday.
Przylebska was elected a TK judge by the Sejm (lower house) and sworn in by the president in December 2015. (PAP)
