Ministry spokesperson Joanna Wajda said the consul has already undertaken steps to clear the situation, she also informed that her ministry was in touch with the ITAKA travel agency which organised the Poles' Thailand trip. According to the tourists, the travel agency has managed to find them lodgings in Thailand but was not informing them about developments in their situation and their prospective return to Poland, Wajda said.

The TVN24 web portal reports that on Wednesday morning the tourists were told their return flight would take off to Poland at 10:30 am Polish time. It added that some have declared themselves ready to return home at their own expense. (PAP)
