PM Beata Szydlo thanks rescue teams
PM Beata Szydlo leaving a Warsaw hospital on Friday thanked all rescue teams and those who looked after her health following a car accident involving her motorcade on Feb. 10 in Oswiecim.
"After a week (in hospital - PAP) I am happy to be able to see and meet you. I know that many of you bravely stood by me here for a week, for that I thank you", the PM told journalists during a briefing outside the Military Institute of Medicine in Warsaw.
"I thank all those who saved us, who have helped us and looked after us, the medical and rescue services and the police", PM Beata Szydlo stressed. "I want to thank all Polish people who showed so much sympathy for me during the past week. Thank you for SMS, for all the phone calls, e-mails and letters, for words of support..."
The PM added she would rest for a couple of days and invited journalists for a next press conference to be held after a Tuesday government sitting.
Last Friday PM Beata Szydlo was injured in a car accident in Oswiecim, after which she was flown by helicopter to Warsaw's Military Institute of Medicine where she spent 7 days recovering.(PAP)
