Polish citizen injured in London attack has left hospital
British PM Theresa May announced earlier Thursday that among the multinational casualties of Wednesday's London terrorist attack was a person from Poland. The wounded Polish citizen has left the hospital - Foreign Ministry
Other victims include Britons, Romanians, Greeks, South Koreans, French and one person each from Germany, USA, Poland and China.
Later on Thursday the Polish Foreign Ministry informed the wounded Polish citizen had already left the hospital.
"We confirm a Polish citizen was injured in the London attack. As his injuries turned out minor he has already been released from the hospital", announced the Foreign Ministry, asking media to respect victim's privacy.
On Wednesday an unidentified perpetrator, reportedly of South Asian descent, rammed his car into pedestrians on the Westminster bridge, after which he got out of the car and stabbed to death a British parliament's security officer. The attacker was shot by police. As yet, the police has not revealed the identity of the terrorist.
In all, four persons died as a result of the attack. 29 more were injured, among whom seven remain in critical state, according to British media.
Among others, a heavily wounded woman was recovered from the Thames River.
In the aftermath of the event, the British PM called a meeting of the British Cabinet Office Briefing Rooms (COBRA), according to TV channel Sky News. (PAP)
