Poland defeated Albania 2-1 on Thursday to secure a place in the World Cup qualifying playoff final against Sweden.

In a game played at Warsaw's National Stadium, captain Robert Lewandowski netted a goal in the 63rd minute, before Piotr Zielinski scored the winner 10 minutes later.
Poland will face Sweden in Stockholm on Tuesday, March 31, with a spot at the 2026 World Cup, hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, on the line.(PAP)
