Donald Tusk, Poland’s prime minister, said on Thursday that Poland had no plans to directly participate in the war in Ukraine.

Tusk was asked at a press conference in the southern city of Gliwice about reports that Nato foreign ministers had raised, during meetings currently taking place in Brussels, the subject of military involvement in Ukraine.

"I will not be commenting on this until I have full information on these conversations and their outcomes," he said.

"At this moment I can repeat what I told (French - PAP) President Macron, (American - PAP) President Biden and other leaders. Poland does not plan to take part directly in the war on Ukraine’s territory."
