Poland's CPI at 3.9 pct y/y in January - stats office

Prices of consumer goods and services (Consumer Price Index, CPI) increased by 3.9 percent year on year and edged up by 0.4 percent month on month in January 2024, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported in a flash estimate on Thursday.

Economists polled by PAP Business estimated that January's CPI would reach 4.1 percent year on year and 0.5 percent month on month.

In December 2023, the prices of consumer goods and services increased by 6.2 percent year on year and by 0.1 percent month on month. (PAP)
