Poland's inflation to drop to 2.9 pct in 2026, central bank forecasts

Inflation, as measured by the consumer price index (CPI), will decrease to 2.9 percent year in 2026 from 3.7 per cent this year, the National Bank of Poland (NBP) reported on Friday.

In 2027, inflation will further decrease to 2.5 percent, in line with the central bank's target, according to the 'Inflation Report.'

Poland's GDP will grow by 3.4 percent in 2025, by 3.7 percent in 2026 and by 2.6 percent in 2027.

In its July edition of the report, the NBP predicted that the CPI inflation will reach 3.1 percent and GDP will grow by 3.1 percent in 2026.

The inflation and GDP projection is used by the NBP's rate setting-body, the Monetary Policy Council (RPP), in setting the country's interest rates.
