Poland's PM to attend 'coalition of the willing' meeting
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said he will take part in an upcoming meeting of the so-called coalition of the willing, a group of countries determined to support Ukraine.
The meeting, organised by French President Emmanuel Macron, will take place in Paris on Thursday.
"On Thursday there will be a meeting of the so-called coalition of the willing; these are 32 countries that keep in touch over Ukraine, Ukraine's future and aiding it in the war with Russia," Tusk said before a government meeting on Tuesday.
"So on Thursday I'll take part (in the meeting - PAP), with President Macron being the meeting organiser this time. We'll discuss what can be done at this stage for peace and to stop the Russian aggression," Tusk added.
The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, Reuters reported.
According to British newspaper Financial Times, the meeting will also be attended, apart from Macron, by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. (PAP)
