Polish parliamentary speaker, UN special representative meet in Ethiopia

Szymon Holownia, the speaker of the Sejm, the lower house of Poland's parliament, has held talks with the UN special representative of the secretary-general to the African Union during his working visit to Ethiopia.

The Sejm Office said on Monday that, besides the meeting with Parfait Onanga-Anyanga, who also serves as the head of the United Nations Office to the African Union, Holownia conferred with Hadera Aberaa, a deputy foreign minister, and Dima Negewo, a chairperson of the foreign affairs committee in the Ethiopian parliament.

Nawrocki proposes pension law, calls for parliamentary backing

The Polish official also visited the branch of the Polish Centre for International Aid Foundation, as well as representatives of the African Union, which gathers 55 states from the continent. (PAP)
