Rose's official appointment by the State Department took place on Tuesday.

"We congratulate Ambassador-designate Rose, who is currently preparing to represent @POTUS in strengthening the American-Polish alliance with one of our closest and most trusted partners," the embassy wrote on the X platform on Thursday.

A former adviser to Republican Vice President Mike Pence, Rose is known for his strong pro-Israel stance. From 1997 to 2005, he served as publisher and CEO of The Jerusalem Post.

During his July confirmation hearing before the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Rose repeatedly praised Poland as an exemplary ally. He pledged to work on deepening the Polish-Israeli ties, asserting that Poland had been unjustly blamed in Israel for complicity in the Holocaust.

He also said that he enjoyed excellent relations with both Poland's centrist government and the main opposition party, the right-wing Law and Justice (PiS), and vowed to maintain neutrality in the country's domestic politics. (PAP)
