Two Polish climbers reach podium at Paris Olympic Games

Aleksandra Miroslaw and Aleksandra Kalucka of Poland took the gold and bronze medals, respectively, in women's speed climbing at the Summer Olympics in Paris on Wednesday.

Miroslaw, with the result of 6.10 seconds, defeated Deng Lijuan from China by a margin of 0.08 seconds to win the gold medal, while Kalucka took the bronze medal with a time of 6.53 seconds.   

During the semi-finals, the Polish competitors faced off against one another. Miroslaw recorded a time of 6.19 seconds, whereas Kalucka achieved a personal best of 6.34 seconds.

During the qualification round on Tuesday, Miroslaw showcased her remarkable talent by surpassing her previous world record twice. The current record is now set at 6.06 seconds.(PAP)
