Michal Bura from the press team of the Polish Border Guard said on Friday that a group of foreigners, who were allegedly migrants on the Belarusian side, attacked Polish soldiers protecting the border on Wednesday. They were released from hospital that day after having undergone surgery.

"Aggressive foreigners, located behind a technical barrier, attacked Polish services several times," Bura told PAP. "As a result of the aggressive behaviour, two soldiers were injured and taken to hospital."

He added that the migrants had dangerous objects and tools with them, which they threw towards the soldiers.

On Tuesday, reports of a migrant stabbing a Polish border guard circulated the Polish media, without specifying who the migrant was or how this attack occurred. (PAP)
