Vasyl Bodnar has been appointed as the new Ukrainian ambassador to Poland after completing a three-year tenure as Kyiv's ambassador in Ankara. He previously held the ambassadorial position in Warsaw from 2006 to 2010.

Prior to Bodnar's appointment, the official representative of Kyiv in Turkey was Andrii Sybiha, who currently serves as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
