Voter turnout in EP elections in Poland lower than in 2019

This year, 40.65 percent of Poles voted in the European Parliament (EP) elections, compared to 45.68 percent in the previous EP elections in 2019.

According to the National Electoral Commission (PKW), the Civic Coalition (KO), the backbone of the Polish coalition government, won Sunday's elections with 38.2 percent of the vote.

Its main opponent, Law and Justice (PiS), received 33.9 percent of the vote. 

In 2019, during the last EP elections, PiS won 45.38 percent of the vote, while its opponent the European Coalition (now named the Civic Coalition - PAP), received 38.47 percent. (PAP)
