The figures were contained in a report published on Thursday on the growth prospects in emerging economies in Europe and Central Asia.

"The World Bank increased Poland's GDP growth prognosis to 3 percent in 2024, from the previously expected 2.6 percent, mainly taking into account a rebound in private consumption, which is supported by falling inflation rates, increased real wages, a tight labour market as well as increased social benefits and transfers," the report said.

Poland's economic growth forecast for 2025 stayed unchanged at 3.4 percent.

"Next year, GDP growth will be supported by increased investments, driven by structural reforms and an influx of EU funds," the bank added. (PAP)
