"The meeting will discuss the loan taken by the government to implement the Security Action for Europe (SAFE) programme as well as the invitation for Poland to join the Board of Peace initiative launched by US President Donald Trump," Rafal Leskiewicz wrote on the X platform on Tuesday.

Leskiewicz added that another topic would concern "actions taken by state bodies to explain all circumstances surrounding the private and business-related eastern contacts of Sejm, lower house of parliament, Speaker Wlodzimierz Czarzasty."

The RBN meeting will be held at 2pm, on Wednesday, February 11, Leskiewicz said.

The RBN, an advisory body to the president, convenes when key national security issues need to be discussed. It will be attended by Nawrocki, government ministers, party leaders and top security officials.

President Trump inaugurated his Board of Peace during the 56th World Economic Forum in Davos to lead efforts at maintaining a ceasefire in Israel's war with Hamas, explaining that it could cooperate with the United Nations while solving conflicts.

President Nawrocki, who had attended the ceremony but did not sign the document establishing the board, said Poland's participation in the Board of Peace was important, but added that "such an international agreement must go through the full constitutional procedure." (PAP)
