Polish athletes claim successes at European Judo Open
Poland's Katarzyna Klys (under 70 kg), Beata Pacut (under 78 kg) and Arleta Podolak (under 57 kg) won their final fights at the 2016 women's European Judo Open in Warsaw on Saturday and Sunday.
The Polish female team placed first ahead of Mongolia and Mexico.
Damian Szwarnowiecki placed second in the under 73 kg event of the 2016 men's European Judo Open in Prague, the Czech Republic, on Saturday.
Patryk Ciechomski placed third in the under 90 kg event on Sunday.
Male athletes met for the last stop of the European Opens during the qualifying period for Rio 2016 in Prague on Feb. 27 and 28, and the female competitors met in Warsaw. (PAP)
